Masala Paneer

Paneer Masala is a simple paneer dish in which paneer cubes are cooked in a spicy onion-tomato sauce. It goes well with Indian bread and Jeera Rice.

  • Ingredients:

  • Marinate of Paneer:

  1. Paneer: Paneer: 300gm

  2. Salt to taste

  3. Turmeric a pinch

  4. Kashmiri Chilli Powder- 1/4tsp

  5. Ginger & Garlic Paste: 1/2tsp

  6. Mustard Oil: 1/2tsp

  • For Gravy:

  1. Oil: 40ml

  2. Bay leaf: 1no

  3. Cumin Seeds: 1tsp

  4. Green Cardamom: 4no

  5. Clove: 4no

  6. Cinnamon Stick: 1inch

  7. Slice Onion- 100gm

  8. Ginger & Garlic Paste: 1tsp

  9. Cumin Powder: 1tsp

  10. Coriander Powder: 1tsp

  11. Turmeric Powder: 1/2tsp

  12. Kashmiri Chilli Powder: 1tsp

  13. Salt to taste

  14. Fresh Tomato Puree: 100gm

  15. Green Chilli- 4no

  16. Yogurt: 100gm

  17. Kasturi Methi- 1tsp

  18. Water as per your Gravy

  • Method of Cooking:

  1. Marinate paneer with the ingredients and shallow fry till the light brown color.

  2. Take a kadai and add oil, when the oil heated the add whole masalas.

  3. Then add chopped onion and sauté till brown color, then add ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw flavor of ginger garlic goes off.

  4. Then add powdered masalas and cook well.

  5. When the masalas are cooked, then add fresh tomato puree and cook in medium heat.

  6. When the gravy is cooked then add green chilli and add water as per your gravy.

  7. Mix it nicely then add fried paneer and cook gently in low heat.

  8. Add yogurt and kasturi methi.

  9. After 2minute your dish is ready to serve.

  10. Serve with Roti or paratha.
