Chicken Pakora

Pakora is a spiced fritter from the Indian subcontinent that is sold on the street and served in restaurants throughout South Asia and the world. It comprises of deep-fried ingredients, usually vegetables like potatoes and onions, coated in seasoned gram flour batter.

Pakoras are at the top of our list of Indian snacks that go great with a cup of tea. We have such a large selection of pakoras on the menu. From onion to mirchi, aloo or paneer, but here's a chicken pakora recipe that immediately whets our appetite. Chicken Pakora is a delicious appetizer for a party or a tea-time snack to enjoy later in the evening. You won't be able to resist cooking this very easy and quick chicken meal with all the flavors and spices on multiple occasions.

  • Serving: 8

  • Ingredients:

  1. Boneless Chicken: 1kg

  2. Coriander Seeds: 3tbsp

  3. Fennel Seeds: 1tbsp

  4. Carom Seeds: 2tbsp

  5. Ginger & Garlic Paste: 2tbsp

  6. Turmeric Powder: 1tbsp

  7. Garam Masala Powder: 1tbsp

  8. Coriander Powder- 1tbsp

  9. Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder- 1tbsp

  10. Fresh Lime or Lemon Juice- 8tbsp

  11. Slice Onion- 2no

  12. Egg- 3no

  13. Chopped Fresh Coriander- 50gm

  14. Green Chilli (Optional)

  15. Gram flour- 4tbsp

  16. Rice Flour- 2tbsp

  17. Salt to taste

  18. Oil & Water for Mixture

  • Oil for Frying

  • Method of Cooking:

  1. Cut chicken leg and breast in cubes.

  2. Roasted nicely Coriander, Fennel, carom seed and grind it nicely.

  3. Mix the chicken with all the ingredients.

  4. Make a tight mixture.

  5. Heat oil in kadai and deep fry the pakoras.

  6. Serve with Masala tea or Tomato Ketchup.
